Ben Folds is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. He first gained prominence as the frontman of the alternative rock trio Ben Folds Five from 1993 to 2000, and during their 2011 to 2013 reunion. As a solo artist, Folds has recorded multiple albums, including a 2025 live release with the National Symphony Orchestra. His career includes collaborations with musicians like Regina Spektor and "Weird Al" Yankovic, experimental projects with writers Neil Gaiman and Nick Hornby, and serving as artistic advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra from 2017 to 2025.
