Chris Standring is a British jazz guitarist known for his heavy use of 1970s-style musical nuances. Before launching his solo career in 1998 with his album Velvet, Standring was a member of SolarSystem, representing one third of the band. SolarSystem was a musical group that combined elements of jazz and hip-hop. Fans and concertgoers attending a performance will see a British musician whose background spans solo jazz guitar work as well as collaborative efforts fusing jazz and hip-hop styles.
