Juan Fernando Fonseca Carrera is a Colombian singer born in Bogotá. He chose music at an early age, studying formally at Javeriana University in Bogotá and Berklee College of Music in Boston. Fonseca gained considerable attention in Colombia with his self-titled debut. His second album, Corazón, released in 2005, explored the crossroads where pop and rock influences meet vallenato, bullerengue, and tambora. His releases continued with Gratitud in 2008 and Ilusión in 2011.
