Griffin House is an American musician who was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. While in high school, he discovered a natural talent for singing after landing a role in a musical. He later purchased his first guitar from a friend for $100. After turning down a golf scholarship to Ohio University, House instead attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. There, he taught himself how to play the guitar and began writing his own songs.
