# Jorma Kaukonen

Jorma Kaukonen is an American blues, folk, and rock guitarist and songwriter. He is known for his work as a member of Jefferson Airplane, with whom he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. Kaukonen also performs regularly on tour with Hot Tuna, a project he started alongside bassist Jack Casady that has continued for 55 years as of 2026. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him at number 54 on its list of '100 Greatest Guitarists'.
