Lori Sims is an American pianist and Steinway Artist who holds prominent academic positions in music education. She began working at Western Michigan University in 1997, where she serves as a professor of piano. During her tenure there, she was named the John T. Bernhard Professor of Music in 2003, occupying one of thirteen named chairs at the university, and was later designated a Distinguished Professor in the College of Fine Arts in 2020. Additionally, Sims was appointed professor of piano at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2026.
