Dywane Eric Thomas Jr., professionally known as MonoNeon, is an American bassist, experimental musician, singer, and songwriter from Memphis, Tennessee. Raised in Orange Mound, he is known for his harmonized viral videos and a playing style that utilizes microtonality. MonoNeon was the last bassist hired by Prince before his death in 2016. Across his career, he has collaborated with artists including George Clinton, Mavis Staples, Bon Iver, and Ne-Yo. In 2021, MonoNeon won a Grammy for his work as a bassist and additional producer on the Nas song "All Bad".
