Roland Stephen Taylor, performing as Steve Taylor, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, music executive, filmmaker, assistant professor, and actor. He is a figure in the genre that has come to be known as Christian alternative rock. Taylor enjoyed a successful solo career during the 1980s, and he also served in the short-lived group Chagall Guevara. His work spans multiple creative and academic roles, reflecting his background as a solo musical artist, group member, and film professional.
