Sir George Ivan Morrison, known as Van Morrison, is a Northern Irish musician, singer, and songwriter who was born in 1945. His recording career began in the 1960s, leading to widespread chart success. More than 40 of his albums have reached the UK Top 40, with strong performances in the UK and Ireland. Internationally, his albums have also achieved commercial success in several countries, including the United States, Germany, and the Netherlands.
