Baroness is an American heavy metal band originally from Savannah, Georgia. Active since 2003, the group's early members grew up together in Lexington, Virginia. Over the years, the band has experienced numerous lineup changes, with frontman John Baizley remaining as the sole constant member throughout their history. In addition to his musical role, Baizley creates the artwork for all of the band's albums, as well as designing artwork for various other bands.
