Bullet for My Valentine, often abbreviated as BFMV, is a Welsh heavy metal band from Bridgend and part of the Cardiff music scene. Formed in 1998 under the name Jeff Killed John, the group initially covered Metallica and Nirvana songs before changing their style and name. Currently composed of Matthew Tuck, Michael Paget, Jamie Mathias, and Jason Bowld, the band secured a five-album deal with Sony BMG in 2002. Their music is influenced by classic metal acts including Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Slayer.
