The Chamber Orchestra of New York is a professional US orchestra. Founded by the Italian composer and conductor Salvatore Di Vittorio, the ensemble was originally established as Chamber Orchestra of New York - Ottorino Respighi. Its establishment occurred on March 27, 2006, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the birth of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The orchestra made its debut performance on October 11, 2007, at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall, launching its inaugural 2007/2008 season.
