Ghoul is an American extreme metal band specializing in death and thrash metal. Originating from Oakland, California, the group was formed in 2001. The members of the band choose to conceal their identities. However, current and former members have connections to other groups, having played in bands such as Impaled, Dystopia, Wolves in the Throne Room, Exhumed, Phobia, Morbid Angel, Asunder, and Morbosidad. Over their career, Ghoul has released five studio albums.
