Formed in 2007, the group was founded by Thomas Brenneck in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. The band features a lineup of musicians from other groups, including Antibalas, El Michels Affair, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, and the Budos Band.
