The Knights are a New York–based orchestra founded by brothers Eric and Colin Jacobsen. The group originated in the late 1990s when the brothers, then music students interested in classical and modern music, hosted gatherings that evolved into public recitals. First called The Knights of the Many-Sided Table, the ensemble grew in size and performance frequency while keeping the collaborative spirit of chamber music. Now named simply The Knights, the orchestra carries a name that symbolizes its ongoing quest to search out music that is bold and true.
