White Lion is an American glam metal and hard rock band formed in New York City in 1983 by vocalist Mike Tramp and guitarist Vito Bratta. Mainly active during the 1980s and early 1990s, the group released their debut album, Fight to Survive, in 1985. They achieved success with their double-platinum second album, Pride, which featured the hit songs "Wait" and "When the Children Cry". The band continued their success with the gold-certified album Big Game and their fourth album, Mane Attraction, before disbanding in 1991.
