Wilco is an American alternative rock band based in Chicago. Formed in 1994 by the remaining members of the alternative country group Uncle Tupelo following the departure of singer Jay Farrar, the band's lineup changed frequently during its first decade. Since 2004, the roster has remained stable, featuring singer Jeff Tweedy, bassist John Stirratt, guitarist Nels Cline, multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone, keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen, and drummer Glenn Kotche. Over their career, the group has released thirteen studio albums, a live double album, and collaborations with Billy Bragg and the Minus 5.
