2026 Italian Symposium

Italy’s Role in a Shifting Global Order
18–19 April

The theme “Italy’s Role in a Shifting Global Order” reflects the need to understand and navigate an increasingly complex and evolving international landscape.

In New York, we will explore how Italy can position itself within this changing global context, focusing on key dimensions such as geopolitical dynamics, economic resilience and financial markets, and industrial and technological transformation.

Over two days at Columbia University, the Symposium will bring together leading voices from institutions, industry, and academia to discuss how Italy can strengthen its role on the global stage, respond to new challenges, and seize emerging opportunities in a rapidly shifting world.
