Dangerous Toys is an Austin, Texas-based rock band featuring often humorous lyrics. Formed in 1987, the group found mainstream success with its 1989 self-titled debut album, which featured the singles "Teas'n, Pleas'n" and "Scared" and was certified gold by the RIAA. The band released four full-length albums—including Hellacious Acres, Pissed, and The R\*tist 4\*merly Known as Dangerous Toys—along with one live album. After a hiatus, the band resurfaced in 1999 and has since continued mostly as a live act, while occasionally hinting at an upcoming fifth studio album.
