The Briefs are an American punk rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 2000. Originally consisting of Daniel J. Travanti, Steve Ross (performing as Steve E. Nix), Lance Romance, and Chris Brief, the group released their debut full-length album, Hit After Hit, in October 2000 through Dirtnap Records. Following their 2002 release Off the Charts, they moved to California's BYO Records to issue Sex Objects in 2004, followed by Steal Yer Heart in 2005. Throughout their career, the band has also released a prolific number of 7-inch singles across several independent labels.
