Jillian Dowding, known professionally as JJ Wilde, is a Canadian rock singer from Kitchener, Ontario. She released her debut EP, Wilde Eyes, Steady Hands, in 2019, followed by her first single, "The Rush." In May 2020, "The Rush" simultaneously reached number one on Canada's modern rock, active rock, and mainstream rock charts. Her 2020 full-length album, Ruthless, won Rock Album of the Year at the 2021 Juno Awards. This achievement made JJ Wilde the first woman to win that award in 25 years, following Alanis Morissette's win in 1996.
