Spain External Relations Officer


UIS Spain is recruiting its next External Relations Officer!

Work directly with institutions, professionals, speakers, and universities to help build new collaborations and bring valuable opportunities to the UIS Spain community.

Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates entirely on a voluntary basis.

Time commitment: Approximately 3–4 hours per week.

The Role

As Spain External Relations Officer, you will support UIS Spain in building relationships with speakers, institutions, universities, and other external stakeholders.

You will work directly on identifying new contacts, reaching out to potential speakers and partners, and supporting the organization of events involving external stakeholders.

The role offers direct exposure to professionals, executives, academics, institutions, and organizations operating between Spain and Italy.

What You’ll Do

  • Research potential speakers, institutions, universities, and organizations relevant to UIS Spain.

  • Support outreach and communication with external stakeholders.

  • Help coordinate speaker invitations and participation in UIS events.

  • Prepare outreach messages, briefing materials, and follow-up communications.

  • Support the logistical organization of events involving external speakers.

  • Maintain organized records of contacts, conversations, and opportunities.

  • Develop ideas for new talks, panels, and external collaborations.

  • Support the Head of External Relations in developing long-term institutional relationships.

  • Collaborate with the Symposium Team when identifying and managing speakers for the Italian Symposium Spain.

Who We’re Looking For

  • An Italian student or young professional currently based in Spain.

  • Confident and professional communicator.

  • Curious and interested in business, institutions, academia, or current affairs.

  • Organized and comfortable managing multiple conversations and follow-ups.

  • Proactive and willing to approach new people and organizations.

  • Previous experience in student societies, events, business development, or relationship management is a plus but not required.

  • Italian and English required; Spanish is a plus.

During the last academic year alone, UIS organized more than 75 events across 8 countries and delivered five editions of its flagship Italian Symposium in Paris, London, New York, Madrid, and Zurich.

Application Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a 30-minute interview with members of the UIS Spain leadership team.

Selected candidates will join UIS Spain for the 2026/2027 academic year.
