Join COMITES of San Francisco for a heartfelt community celebration of Festa della Liberazione, marking the 80th anniversary of Italy’s liberation from nazi-fascism.

This is a moment to honor the courage, sacrifices, and hope of those who fought for a free and democratic Italy. Together, we’ll sing traditional songs, watch powerful stories, and learn about the Italian Resistance, reflecting on a pivotal chapter in our shared history. The evening’s program includes:

🎶 Live music and communal singing, bringing to life the songs of freedom and unity that accompanied Italy’s fight for liberation.

🎬 A screening of La donna nella Resistenza (Women of the Resistance) by acclaimed director Liliana Cavani, a powerful documentary highlighting the often-overlooked stories of the brave women who took part in the Italian Resistance.

🍽️ A catered buffet will be provided, so come ready to enjoy good food and great company.
