## About

What happens when AI for education doesn’t depend on the cloud?

For many teachers and schools today, using AI means using an online service. Heavy annual price tags, lock-in effects, sudden model changes, student data scattered all over the Internet and copyright issues with publishers are just a few of the problems that worry the community – if the Wi-Fi is stable enough in the first place, that is.

What if we didn’t have to use the cloud? What if our own computers could run the AI we need?

Join us for a practical look at privacy-first, offline AI for teachers — and why local AI may matter more in education than almost anywhere else.

We’ll explore how teachers can use AI for lesson planning, worksheets, assessment, feedback, classroom materials and everyday administrative work while keeping sensitive school and student data on their own device.

The session will include a live demonstration of TeacherAIssistant, a local-first AI workspace built specifically for educators, followed by an open discussion about privacy, teacher agency, on-device models, offline deployment and the future of AI in schools.

This is not a sales presentation. It’s a conversation about a simple question:

What should AI for teachers look like when privacy, reliability and teacher control are treated as core product requirements?

We’ll use TeacherAIssistant as a working example to explore local and offline AI in education — where it helps, what trade-offs it creates, and why on-device models are becoming increasingly practical.

Ideal for educators, EdTech founders, AI builders, school and district leaders, privacy-minded technologists, investors and anyone interested in practical local AI.

Format: Short presentation + live demo + Q&A + informal networking.

Bring your own Windows computer if you want to try it yourself.

The event takes place in the back room of
Whiskey Cellar NYC & B Lounge NYC

📍 77 East 7th Str, NY, NY 10003

There is no obligation to order drinks, but you are more than welcome to do so. Minimum age: 21.

This event is part of #AIWeekNY by Pulse NYC — a community-led festival celebrating innovation across the AI ecosystem. ## Ticket types

| ticket type id | name | price | currency | buyable now | per order | approval | sales end |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `v0LMc3YsCnZO83BMgCkZ` | General Admission | free | usd | yes | 1–unlimited | no | — |

Prices exclude the service fee. `buyable now` is a boolean, not a count —
remaining stock is the organizer's information and is not published; create
a checkout session to find out whether a given quantity fits.

## Buying this with an agent

The `ticket type id` column above is `items[].id` below. This body is
complete and can be sent as it stands, with the buyer details replaced:

```
POST https://www.gomry.com/api/v1/checkout_sessions
Authorization: Bearer <token>
API-Version: 2025-09-12
Content-Type: application/json
{
  "items": [
    {
      "id": "v0LMc3YsCnZO83BMgCkZ",
      "quantity": 1
    }
  ],
  "buyer": {
    "name": "Ada Lovelace",
    "email": "ada@example.com"
  }
}
```

The response `totals` is the authoritative price — it includes the service
fee, which is not in the table above and depends on the cart and the
organizer's fee settings. Never compute a total from this document.
