We invite you to a series of special gatherings – a study circle, if you will – where we will explore the lives of remarkable women from our local environment who might otherwise remain overlooked. Over the course of five Tuesday sessions, we will research well-known, lesser-known, and forgotten women, engaging in partly artistic and partly literary creation to strengthen collective memory and advocacy. The meetings will culminate in a public presentation and exhibition.

Through guided research, conversation, and creativity, we will discover the world of women who have shaped our place and time. The gatherings will be relaxed, open, and meant for everyone inspired by stories and community.

No prior experience is required (neither artistic nor literary). Our focus will be local – though we may occasionally reach beyond.

Schedule:
Five Tuesdays — from 18 November to 16 December 2025 — 6:00 to 8:00 PM

How?
Under the guidance of Nina Arnuš and Anka Pintar from Zavod Tri (Škofja Loka), we will research, document, and artistically interpret the stories of women who have remained in the shadows of history.
At the first session, each participant will choose their “woman of inspiration,” find her image, transfer it onto fabric, and through exploration and creative process, build a personal narrative.

The circle encourages the preservation of heritage, understanding of social change, and the strengthening of community. In the end, the stories will be presented through an exhibition and voices that will give them new life.
