Enrico Letta is an Italian politician who served as Prime Minister of Italy from April 2013 to February 2014, leading a grand coalition of centre-left and centre-right parties. He was the leader of the Democratic Party (PD) from March 2021 to March 2023. In 2014, he was appointed as dean of the School of International Affairs at Sciences Po in Paris. In 2023, the European Council called “for an independent High-Level Report on the future of the Single Market to be presented at its meeting of March 2024 and invites the incoming presidencies of the Council and the Commission to take this work forward, in consultation with the Member States” and appointed Enrico Letta as EU rapporteur on the future of the Single Market.
