Beginning Argentine Tango — Mondays

Monday evenings 6:00 to 7:00 at Ashkenaz. Argentine tango taught from the very beginning — the walk, the embrace, and the improvised conversation that makes tango different from every other partner dance you have tried. Nothing is choreographed; you learn to lead and follow in the moment. No partner and no experience needed. Ashkenaz's sprung wooden floor is one of the better tango surfaces in the East Bay, and the room is as unpretentious as the price suggests.
