Wednesday Timba Social & Open Dance

Wednesdays 8:00 to 10:00 PM at The East Bay Community Space in North Oakland. Two hours of timba and Cuban salsa, open dancing, after the evening's two rueda classes. Timba is the harder-edged, funkier Cuban sound that rueda dancers grow into, and this is one of the few midweek rooms in the East Bay that plays it properly. **$5** if you are only coming for the social — one of the cheapest nights of dancing in the Bay Area. Free if you took either class that evening.
