United Italian Societies (UIS) is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and financially skilled leader to serve as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This is a C-Suite position within UIS, carrying significant responsibility and influence over the organisation’s direction. As a member of the Global Executive Team and the Board of Directors, the CFO works alongside the CEO and COO to define the organisation’s strategic priorities, oversee its long-term sustainability, and ensure the effective allocation of resources across all regions where UIS operates.
The CFO plays a central role in guiding the organisation’s financial vision, ensuring transparency and accountability, and enabling the growth of UIS’s network across 8 countries and more than 60 university chapters.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Management
Develop and maintain UIS’s global financial strategy, aligned with organisational goals and growth plans.
Create an annual forecast for global operations and major events.
Identify cost optimisation opportunities and guide resource allocation.
Budget Oversight
Approve and monitor budgets for all UIS chapters and major initiatives.
Support local Heads of Finance in their budgeting processes and ensure consistency across regions.
Track sponsorship revenues and grant funding, ensuring they are allocated according to agreements.
Financial Administration & Compliance
Oversee all income, expenses, and reimbursements for the organisation.
Ensure compliance with relevant legal, tax, and financial reporting requirements in each country where UIS operates.
Reporting & Accountability
Prepare the annual financial report for UIS members and institutional partners.
Serve as the primary contact for financial queries from chapters, sponsors, and auditors.

Who We Are Looking For
An Italian student or young professional, ideally with a background in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
Proficiency in Excel or other financial management tools.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high and variable workload.
