The Good Scientists is a volunteer-based platform for scientists to engage with the Third Sector (NGOs, non-profits, and civil society organisations). Our goal is to make science accessible and actionable for social impact. We are an organisation run by passionate volunteers that want to create opportunities for scientists to create social and environmental impact.
The Designer will create social media material for TGS, which includes graphics, LinkedIn posts and updates on Twitter and Instagram. You will collaborate with the TGS editors to post regular Newsletter Articles on LinkedIn, designing the article contents and embedding graphics in the text provided by editors. Other ideas for social media engagement are welcomed. Candidates with social media skills and experiences are preferred.
Responsibilities:
๐ Create graphics for social media, our blog, and the website.
๐ Interact with the various teams: Marketing team, Social Media team, Editorial team and the teams managing and developing the platforms.

โ๏ธ No formal experience needed, but we are looking for candidates that can develop very beautiful graphics.

We work flexibly and remotely: you will have the chance to set your own timeline and to adjust to the working style that works best for you. We meet (virtually or in-person) once a month in a social setting to get to know each other and to share milestones.
Additionally to fulfilling our motivation to translate science into social impact we grow our expertise through mutual learning, expanding professional networks, attending training and developing transferable skills for our future careers.
This is a unpaid volunteering position.
