About Gomry:
At Gomry, we're building a self-service, cloud-based platform that helps organizations manage members, events, and sponsorships. We work with over 1,200 organizations—mostly associations, clubs, and community groups—and connect more than 70,000 people across North America, the UK, Switzerland, and the EU.
We also aim to build the largest Alternative Advertising Fund. That’s a way for our advertising clients to invest in real-world community sponsorships, so they can promote their products in settings that matter to people—think niche conferences, association gatherings, and more.
Our mission is to build the definitive community management platform and to create the world's largest Alternative Advertising Fund, enabling Advertisers to sell more products and services through scalable and measurable sponsorship activations.
Gomry was founded in San Francisco in 2022 by three Italian founders. Since then, we have become a small multinational company when we opened Gomry Europe in Amsterdam to better serve our European customer base. We are now a team of five. You will be the second person we hire in Argentina and our sixth hire.
We also have a community we manage ourselves: the Silicon Valley Fellowship, a program that started 20 years ago and that we have been operating since 2023. It helps young international talent get fast-tracked into Silicon Valley. Through the Silicon Valley Fellowship, we connect promising individuals from around the world with experienced Silicon Valley mentors, building valuable networks, friendships, and opportunities in the process.
Our Company Culture and Values:
1 - Customer obsession
At Gomry, our primary customer is the community manager. They are the ones who need to trust us the most and pay the closest attention to our actions and our product. When in doubt, always prioritize the value we bring to community managers. We are here to serve them and do right by them, first and foremost.
2 - We are in the business of building something unique
It’s good to learn what customers already find valuable. But we don’t compare ourselves to others. We are in the business of building something great and unique. Not “gaining market share” or “beating competitors.” We may end up getting that, but that’s not the way we think about it.
3 - Commitment to excellence and overdeliver
Extraordinary performance is the only thing that matters. The path to improving our personal and business situations is through consistently overdelivering and overperforming. Nobody is rewarded for complaining, or for anything else, really. This is how all high-performing countries, organizations, and companies operate. The case of Gomry is not an exception, and it never will be.
4 - Long-term thinking
Ben Graham famously said that in the short term, the market is a voting machine, driven by sentiment and trends. But in the long term, it's a weighing machine, valuing substance and sustainability. We’re a company that wants to be weighed, and over time, we will be—over the long term, all companies are. In the meantime, we have our heads down working to build a heavier and heavier company. When you think long-term, you do things differently. We live in a short-term world, and time-horizon arbitrage is one of the biggest opportunities that exist in business today.
5 - We are a marketing-oriented company, and the product is our most important marketing tool.
Our product is the first impression we make with potential new customers and the reputation we maintain with existing ones. Because of the nature of our product, the highest-impact growth initiatives will always be product-led.
6 - It’s always Day 1
Day 1 is a mindset—staying hungry, focused, and relentless. Day 2 is an 'arrived' mindset, complacent, taking success or things working for granted, leading to stasis, irrelevance, painful decline, and ultimately, death. At Gomry is always and will always be Day 1.
7 - We move FAST
Compounding daily, rather than weekly or monthly, makes a massive difference in the long term. Slowness anywhere justifies slowness everywhere.
8 - We act and think like owners
We treat Gomry as if it’s our own—because it is. Every employee has equity, access to company data, and the autonomy to act. Along with ownership comes both freedom and responsibility: we trust each other to act in Gomry’s best interest.
When we see something broken, we fix it. When we spend a company dollar, we treat it like our own. If something’s on the floor, we pick it up.
We ask ourselves: Do we make decisions that will benefit the company 10 or 20 years from now? Are we building an institution that will outlast us? That’s the owner’s attitude.
