ISSNAF Mentoring Program: Student Mentee Application

The Young ISSNAF Mentoring Program for Students offers Italian university students and recent graduates personalized guidance to explore study and career options in academia, research, and technology in North America.  

Mentees are mentored by an experienced mentor for a period of 6 months. They interact with their mentor at least once every 2 months, or as agreed upon with their mentors.

NOTE: Please note that this program does not provide visiting positions or job opportunities.

ELIGIBILITY

1. Must hold an Italian passport.

2. Must be a current undergraduate or graduate student, or have graduated within the past six months at the time of application.

3. Must have an interest in pursuing a study or work experience in academia, research, or technology in North America.

Please note that not all applications can be accepted. The decisions made by ISSNAF are final.

APPLICATION
Please provide:

• Your CV with the transcript of courses and scores;

• The contact information of a professor willing to provide ISSNAF a letter of reference on your behalf no later than June 30, 2025.

Please note:

• You must be registered with ISSNAF as Student

• It is your responsibility to solicit the letter of reference. ISSNAF must receive it on time in order to consider your application.

• The letter of reference should be emailed to young.issnaf@issnaf.org. The subject of the email should indicate "Letter of reference for CANDIDATE_LAST_NAME"
  

TIMELINE

• The Call for Applications will be closed on June 15 2025.

• All applicants will be notified of the outcome by the end of July 30 2025.
  Mentoring will start in August 2025.
