Netherlands Community Officer

Community Officer – UIS Netherlands Chapter
Important: This is a voluntary position. The UIS executive team is made up of volunteers.
Time required: ~3 hours per week

United Italian Societies (UIS) Netherlands is looking for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our Community Team as an Officer. In this role, you’ll support the planning and execution of fun, engaging events that bring together Italian students across the Netherlands, helping to build a welcoming and active community.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and organize social events, ranging from casual aperitivi to larger gatherings, fostering a strong sense of community.

• Support outreach efforts to connect with students, understand their interests, and shape activities around them.

• Assist in managing communication with local Italian student societies and keeping them informed about ongoing initiatives.

• Work with the Head of Community and other team members to brainstorm new ideas and improve event participation.

• Collaborate with other UIS chapters to share best practices and occasionally co-organize joint initiatives.

Who We Are Looking For

• An Italian student currently enrolled at a Dutch university.

• Someone who loves bringing people together and creating enjoyable social experiences.

• A reliable and communicative team player who enjoys working with others.

• No prior experience is required – just passion, commitment, and a positive attitude!
