Netherlands External Relations Officer

External Relations Officer – UIS Netherlands Chapter
Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates on a voluntary basis.
Time required: ~3 hours per week

United Italian Societies (UIS) Netherlands is looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join the External Relations Team as an Officer. In this role, you will support the planning of engaging events with external speakers and help manage relationships with key stakeholders such as institutions, firms, and partner organizations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing Italian student network in the Netherlands while gaining experience in communications, event planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in organizing events with external speakers, including industry professionals, academics, and leaders in business and culture.

  • Support the communication and coordination with external partners and institutions before, during, and after events.

  • Contribute to maintaining a database of stakeholders, speakers, and partner organizations.

  • Collaborate with the Head of External Relations and other team members to identify new partnership opportunities.

  • Work with the UIS Global External Relations team when needed, ensuring alignment with UIS values and goals.

Who We Are Looking For

  • An Italian student or young professional based in the Netherlands who is eager to help connect Italian talent with external stakeholders.

  • A strong communicator who is organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.

  • Someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced volunteer team.

  • Experience in event planning or external communications is appreciated but not necessary – curiosity and commitment matter most.
