Recruiting: Head of Operations - UIS Research Centre


Important: this position is voluntary based, the UIS executive team is based on a voluntary work.

Time required: 4 hours per week

United Italian Societies (UIS) is looking for a bright, passionate and positive individual to drive the institutional relations for our student-led think tank, the UIS Research Centre. The role will the management of the research centre, from organising events with institutions and firms, to running the researches.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee logistics for events, meetings, and general administration of the Research Centre.

  • Coordinate documentation, records, and communication between the Research Centre and UIS.

  • Ensure that research and administrative activities are well-organized and on schedule.

Who we are looking for:

  • An Italian student currently enrolled at a university.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a proactive, self-starter attitude.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with academic institutions, firms, and policymakers.

  • Prior experience in event organization, project management, or student-led initiatives is a plus.

  • A genuine interest in research and in addressing issues related to Italy’s brain drain and the Italian diaspora abroad.

  • A positive team player who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic, and international environment

The UIS Research Centre stands as a student-led think tank, deeply rooted in the principles of academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Our primary objective is to harness the potential of bright and dedicated Italian students, providing them with a platform to craft well-researched policy proposals and insightful articles.

Our commitment is not just to produce research, but to shape future leaders and thinkers who can drive change through informed policy-making and thought leadership. Students will be given the possibility to produce their own paper together with Italian PhD students and Professors, which will then be presented to our community and Italian institutions.
