Finance Officer – UIS Switzerland
Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates on a voluntary basis.
Time required: 2 hours per week.
United Italian Societies (UIS) Switzerland is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to support the financial operations of our Swiss chapter. This role involves managing the chapter's finances, ensuring transparency and accountability, and contributing to securing sponsorships that enable us to deliver our services free of charge to our network of Italian students and young professionals.
Responsibilities
Maintain and monitor the chapter’s financial records, including budgets, expenses, and income, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
Prepare financial reports to keep the UIS Switzerland leadership informed of the chapter's financial status.
Collaborate with the UIS executive team to develop and oversee the chapter's budget, ensuring alignment with UIS goals and priorities.
Research and approach potential sponsors, presenting the value of UIS Switzerland’s mission and securing funding for events and initiatives.
Oversee the allocation of sponsorship funds, ensuring they are used effectively to support the chapter’s activities and goals.
Support the planning and execution of fundraising activities, including events or campaigns that align with UIS’s mission.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and UIS policies.
Who We Are Looking For
An Italian student or young professional based in Switzerland with a keen interest in financial management and strategic planning.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets and financial records accurately.
A proactive and solution-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills.
A confident communicator, capable of engaging with potential sponsors and presenting UIS Switzerland’s mission and value effectively.
Previous experience in finance, accounting, or sponsorship acquisition is a plus but not required.
