United Italian Societies (UIS) USA is seeking a creative, organized, and proactive Marketing Officer to help grow UIS’s brand, community, and programs across United States. UIS connects Italian student societies and young professionals to foster collaboration, culture, and opportunity.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will support day-to-day marketing execution: managing content, social media, email/newsletters, brand assets, and partner promotions. You’ll collaborate with UIS leadership and fellow officers to keep messaging clear, on-brand, and timely.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign & Calendar Execution
Maintain a simple content calendar for major moments (announcements, partnerships, chapter highlights).
Draft, edit, and schedule posts across LinkedIn and Instagram; keep tone consistent with brand guidelines.
Coordinate basic promotional pushes for initiatives (save-the-date posts, speaker/guest highlights, recaps).
Content & Asset Production
Write short copy for posts, newsletters, and web pages.
Prepare creative briefs and collaborate with designers (Canva/Adobe) on banners, stories, and templates.
Organize brand assets (logos, typography, templates) and ensure they’re used correctly.
Email & Newsletter Support
Build straightforward newsletters (updates, spotlights, upcoming activities) with clear calls-to-action.
Maintain tidy audience lists and follow basic good-practice standards for consent and frequency.
Community & Partnerships Enablement
Share simple toolkits with chapters/partners (caption options, images, posting guidance).
Coordinate cross-posts and shout-outs with student orgs and cultural partners.
Collect photos/quotes for recaps and future promotions.
Web & Info Hygiene
Keep key web pages up to date (about, initiatives, “get involved”, contact).
Ensure messaging matches what’s going live on social/email.
On-Site / Live Coverage (as needed)
Capture light live coverage at select activations (stories, short quotes, photo coordination).
Support post-event recaps with selected images and a short write-up.
Collaboration & Brand Consistency
Align with Operations and Programs so details (names, titles, dates, locations) are accurate.
Uphold voice, tone, and visual identity across all touchpoints.

Who We’re Looking For
Italian student or young professional based in New York, with experience in student orgs, events, or communications.
Strong writing skills and attention to detail; comfortable drafting concise, audience-friendly copy.
Organized, reliable, and calm under deadlines; able to manage a simple calendar and follow through.
Familiarity with Canva (or Adobe), basic social scheduling, and Google Workspace.
Availability around key program moments; occasional on-site support.
Nice to have: light video editing for reels/stories; familiarity with community management and partner coordination.
