SF Robotics House 🤖

Are you looking for a place to stay in SF?

Whatever brings you here, Nick and I would love to have you.

We’re offering one room in our 3-bedroom house in Bernal Heights. You’ll have the tranquility of your own space on a separate floor, along with full access to shared amenities:

  • Kitchen

  • In-unit washer/dryer

  • Sunny backyard with barbecue

  • Home office

  • Home gym

  • Garage

  • Storage basement

Location

We’re in 442 Gates st. The neighborhood is a residential jewel, silent day and night, but with a lot of fun stuff at walking distance (Cortland ave, Bernal Heights Peak, Mission District). The closeness to the freeway makes it super fast to commute to more central areas of the city but also to the rest of the bay (critical for weekend surfing), and if you dont want to take a car the Lyft bikes are basically rockets on wheels.

About us

Nick and I are out most of the day (996 grind, baby!), so you will effectively have the entire house for yourself most of the time. When we’re not gone, Andrea can cook a pasta and we’d love to hear about your adventures and dreams, city-related or otherwise.

  • Nick: Canadian. Big dog on Tesla Optimus team, leading technical program management for the robot’s entire hardware development.

  • Andrea: Italian. Leads hardware development of the Phantom hand at Foundation, MIT alum. Previously worked on Optimus with Nick. Hosting Fellow of the Silicon Valley Fellowship.

Fill the form below, and we’ll see if we have availability! :)

Pics!

We only recently moved in (Jan 2026), so the house is still a few thrift shopping sessions away from feeling like home, but we still think it’s beautiful.

Your nest

Still your nest, but with the drawers

Andrea’s home office. I sometimes use it on weekends, but it’s yours the rest of the week

Man cave. The sign under the TV says “Hookers and blows”. Actually not our vibe at all but it’s funny.

The table and chairs were an insane deal on marketplace

That fucking lamp has gotta go

That fucking lamp has gotta go, but from a different angle

The ONLY downside of this house is the single bathroom. You’re lucky we’re workaholics and wake up at 5am, so the bathroom is basically yours.

In-unit. Real luxury in SF.

Andrea’s favorite place, by far.

Even better view of Andrea’s favorite place. Grilling steaks on woodfire 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

You’ll get back home smarter AND more fit. Can’t find a better deal in the city.

We rarely park inside cause street parking is easy and chill, but you’re welcome to use it.

You are here → ❤️
