
UIS Spain is recruiting its next Finance Officer!
Gain hands-on experience in sponsorships, partnerships, budgeting, and business development while supporting the growth of UIS Spain’s projects and events.
Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates entirely on a voluntary basis.
Time commitment: Approximately 3–4 hours per week.
The Role
As Spain Finance Officer, you will support UIS Spain’s sponsorship, fundraising, budgeting, and financial management activities.
You will work on real sponsorship and partnership opportunities, engage with companies, and help ensure the financial sustainability of UIS Spain’s events and initiatives.
The role provides hands-on experience across business development, negotiations, financial planning, and stakeholder management.
What You’ll Do
Research companies and organizations that could become UIS Spain sponsors or partners.
Support outreach to potential sponsors and manage follow-up conversations.
Help prepare sponsorship proposals, presentations, and partnership packages.
Participate in meetings with prospective partners when relevant.
Maintain and update the sponsorship pipeline.
Support negotiations and partnership activation once agreements are reached.
Help prepare and monitor budgets for events and UIS Spain initiatives.
Support the financial planning of the Italian Symposium Spain.
Track relevant revenues, expenses, and financial commitments.
Collaborate with the Head of Finance and other teams to ensure resources are used effectively.
Who We’re Looking For
An Italian student or young professional currently based in Spain.
Interested in finance, strategy, consulting, business development, or partnerships.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Organized and proactive, with attention to detail.
Comfortable working with numbers as well as communicating with external stakeholders.
Previous experience is not required; motivation and willingness to learn are more important.
Italian and English required; Spanish is a plus.

Application Process
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a 30-minute interview with members of the UIS Spain leadership team.
Selected candidates will join UIS Spain for the 2026/2027 academic year.
