Switzerland Community Officer

Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates on a voluntary basis.
Time required: 4 hours per week.

United Italian Societies (UIS) Switzerland is looking for a Community Officer to join the Community Team, supporting the Head of Community in organizing social and cultural activities aimed at strengthening the local UIS network.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to engage directly with Italian students and young professionals in Switzerland, helping to create an inclusive and vibrant community.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of community events such as networking aperitivi, cultural activities, and informal meetups.

  • Help maintain active communication with UIS members and partner societies across Swiss universities.

  • Collect feedback from participants to improve the quality and engagement of community initiatives.

  • Contribute with ideas and creativity to make the UIS Switzerland community more connected and dynamic.

Who We Are Looking For

  • An Italian student or young professional based in Switzerland, passionate about creating a welcoming environment for others.

  • Energetic, friendly, and proactive, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Organized and reliable, with attention to detail and an interest in event planning.

  • A genuine enthusiasm for connecting people and supporting Italian students abroad.

  • Previous experience in student associations, volunteering, or event management is appreciated but not required.
