Symposium Officer – UIS Spain Chapter
Important: This position is volunteer-based. The UIS executive team operates entirely on a voluntary basis.
Time required: 3 hours per week (variable, increasing in the weeks leading up to the event)
United Italian Societies (UIS) Spain is looking for a proactive and motivated individual to join the team behind the Italian Symposium in Spain.
This flagship event gathers Italian students, professionals, and institutional figures to discuss key issues and foster connections across academia, industry, and civil society.
As Officer, you will support the Head throughout the planning and execution of the event, helping with logistics, communication, and coordination alongside a team of volunteers.

United Italian Societies (UIS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to connecting, promoting, and supporting Italian university students abroad. We bring together Italian student societies across 7 countries and more than 60 universities, fostering a vibrant community driven by the passion and talent of our volunteers. Founded three years ago, we are now focused on expanding our services and enhancing the events we offer in the regions where we are active.

Responsibilities
Support the planning and execution of the Italian Symposium, assisting with agenda design, speaker coordination, and logistics.
Contribute to outreach efforts toward guest speakers, universities, and potential partners.
Assist in marketing activities, including social media promotion and use of the Gomry App.
Help coordinate venue logistics and ensure smooth communication across the officer and volunteer team.
Actively participate in team meetings, take ownership of assigned tasks, and support the Head in delivering a well-organized and impactful event.
Who We Are Looking For
An Italian student or young professional based in Spain, ideally with prior experience in event planning, leadership, or student organizing.
Organized, dependable, and willing to contribute to a high-impact event.
Passionate about the mission of UIS and committed to strengthening the Italian student community.
Comfortable working in a team and taking initiative when needed.
Previous experience in student associations, events, or outreach is a plus (but not required).
