UK Head of Tutoring


Important: this position is voluntary based
Time required: 4 hours per week

United Italian Societies (UIS) is looking for a passionate and organized individual to lead our Tutoring Program in the United Kingdom. This initiative supports Italian high school and bachelor students who are considering studying abroad, by connecting them with Italian university students willing to share their experience and advice.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the Tutoring Program in the UK in line with UIS strategy

  • Identify and recruit Italian students enrolled in UK universities willing to serve as tutors

  • Support the matching process between tutors and students from Italian high schools or bachelor’s programs

  • Ensure tutors are prepared to offer useful guidance and resources about studying in the UK

  • Collaborate with other Heads and Officers across Europe to align best practices and share updates

  • Monitor progress, collect feedback, and propose improvements to the program

  • Work closely with the Country Manager UK and the Global Head of Tutoring

What we’re looking for:

  • An Italian student currently studying at a university in the United Kingdom, or a recent graduate

  • Someone organised, proactive, and genuinely motivated to support other students

  • Good communication skills, especially when interacting with younger students who may not yet have access to clear information about studying abroad

  • Experience in tutoring or student associations is welcome, but not required

  • Passion for making the university journey abroad more accessible, especially for those who are just starting to explore their options
