UIS Spain is recruiting its next Community Officer!

Join the team behind one of the largest networks of Italian students in Spain and help bring our community closer together through events, new initiatives, and stronger connections across universities.

Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates entirely on a voluntary basis.

Time commitment: Approximately 3–4 hours per week, with a higher commitment around major events.

The Role

As Spain Community Officer, you will support the growth and engagement of the UIS community across Spain.

You will work closely with the Head of Community and the wider UIS Spain team to organize events, strengthen relationships with Italian university societies, and help expand the network to new universities and cities.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the organization of social and community events, including aperitivi, networking events, dinners, and other initiatives.

  • Help develop new event formats based on the interests of Italian students across Spain.

  • Maintain regular contact with Italian societies and student representatives across Spanish universities.

  • Support communication between UIS Spain and the presidents of the societies within the network.

  • Help identify universities and cities where UIS could expand its presence.

  • Support the onboarding and integration of new university societies into the UIS network.

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to promote community initiatives and events.

  • Support community engagement around major UIS initiatives, including the Italian Symposium Spain.

Who We’re Looking For

  • An Italian student or young professional currently based in Spain.

  • Sociable, proactive, and genuinely interested in bringing people together.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable working with students from different universities and cities.

  • Reliable and willing to take ownership of projects.

  • Experience in student organizations or event planning is a plus, but not required.

  • Italian and English required; Spanish is a plus.

Through events, mentoring and tutoring programmes, career initiatives, institutional collaborations, and partnerships with leading organizations, UIS creates opportunities for Italian students abroad to connect with each other and with universities, institutions, companies, and professionals.

During the last academic year alone, UIS organized more than 75 events across 8 countries and delivered five editions of its flagship Italian Symposium in Paris, London, New York, Madrid, and Zurich.

Application Process

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a 30-minute interview with members of the UIS Spain leadership team.

Selected candidates will join UIS Spain for the 2026/2027 academic year.
