Julian Schwarz is an American cellist of Austrian descent born in 1991. A graduate of the Juilliard School, he serves on the cello faculty at the Eastern Music Festival and became an assistant professor of cello at Shenendoah Conservatory in August 2017. Schwarz won the 2013 inaugural Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld International String Competition in Hong Kong. He also won the 2016 Boulder International Chamber Music Competition's "The Art of Duo" alongside pianist Marika Bournaki, to whom he is married.
