Donovan Melero is an American singer who serves as the lead vocalist and drummer for Hail the Sun, a post-hardcore band from Chico, California, formed in 2009. Performing alongside guitarists Shane Gann and Aric Garcia, bass guitarist John Stirrat, and drummer Allen Casillas, Melero is known for an eclectic progressive rock and math rock style featuring screamo and post-hardcore elements. The band independently released an EP titled Elephantitis in 2012 before signing to Blue Swan Records and later Equal Vision Records, releasing albums such as Wake and Culture Scars.
