Theodore Anthony Nugent is an American guitarist, singer, and songwriter who goes by nicknames including Uncle Ted, the Nuge, and Motor City Madman. He initially gained fame as the lead guitarist for the Amboy Dukes, playing psychedelic rock and hard rock before launching a solo career. In the United States, his multi-platinum releases include Ted Nugent, Free-for-All, Cat Scratch Fever, and Double Live Gonzo!. Following his 2022 album Detroit Muscle and his 2023 Adios Mofo Tour, he continues to perform live.
