Bazooka Joe, also known as Bazooka Joe and the Lillets, was a British pub rock band formed in 1970 by John Ellis and Danny Kleinman. The band featured bass player Stuart Goddard, who later changed his name to Adam Ant. Bazooka Joe is primarily known for headlining when the Sex Pistols played their first concert on 6 November 1975 at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. Goddard left the group after a dispute over that performance. Both Ellis and Goddard went on to find success with The Vibrators and Adam and the Ants.
