
HEAD OF FINANCE — UIS USA Executive Team, 2026/2027
Important: This is a volunteer position. The UIS executive team operates on a voluntary basis.
Time required: 4 hours per week.

The Role
The Head of Finance is the treasurer of the US chapter and is accountable for how the organization's resources are planned, tracked and spent.
Budget and Planning
Own the annual and Symposium budgets, from initial planning through final reporting
Plan and safeguard the funding of the fellowship program
Financial Operations
Manage expense approvals and reimbursements, ensuring proper documentation and timely repayment of team members
Maintain the financial records of UIS USA Inc.
Partnerships and Sponsorship
Issue invoices and donation acknowledgment letters to sponsors, in coordination with the UIS Global CFO
Track sponsorship income against commitments and ensure partner obligations are fulfilled
Support the Outreach Team in structuring sponsorship packages and assessing the cost of delivering partnerships
Compliance
Liaise with the Global CFO on banking and compliance matters

Candidate Profile
Organised, reliable with deadlines, and comfortable with spreadsheets and basic accounting
Able to uphold financial discipline within a fast-moving team
Fluent in Italian and English
Prior experience in finance, accounting or treasury roles, whether academic, professional or within student organisations, is welcome but not required
