The Snowman is a 2017 psychological thriller film production directed by Tomas Alfredson. Based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Jo Nesbø, the screenplay was written by Peter Straughan, Hossein Amini, and Søren Sveistrup. The story follows inspector Harry Hole as he tracks a serial killer who builds snowmen at his crime scenes. The production stars Michael Fassbender, Rebecca Ferguson, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer, and J. K. Simmons. Principal photography for the project took place in Norway, London, and Sweden.
