Pegboy is an American punk band from Chicago, Illinois, with a relatively large cult following. The group was founded in 1990 by John Haggerty, Joe Haggerty, Larry Damore, and Steve Saylors. That same year, Pegboy released its debut EP, Three-Chord Monte, which served as the first release for Quarterstick Records. Damore and Saylors previously belonged to the Chicago hardcore band Bhopal Stiffs. Following Saylors' departure in 1992, the band's bass slot was filled at various times by Steve Albini, Pierre Kezdy, and Mike Thompson.
